A duo comprised of pianist Manon Berendschot and mezzosoprano Hanna de Bruin.

They met one another in the pre-bachelor programme at the Tilburg Conservatoire where they both completed their Bachelor's Degree. It all started with playing for fun and over time they've grown into an ambitious and motivated song duo.

Their mission is to create an escape 'for a while' from the busy world we currently live in. They do that with beautiful and captivating programmes - in which they like to combine well and lesser-known music, especially repertoire written by women.

Besides that, they love to work with composers. Composer Eveline Vervliet wrote 'Jamie's [Vegan] Quick Hummus' for the duo. This contemporary piece combines classical music, electronic music and food.

'Duo for a While' is very active - playing concerts and attending masterclasses. They gave concerts in 's Hertogenbosch, Eindhoven, Middelburg and many more places.

In April 2021, they were awarded the second-place prize at the Willem Twee Chamber Music Contest in the Willem Twee Toonzaal in 's Hertogenbosch.

They received masterclasses by Margreet Honig, Anne le Bozec, Erik Slik, David Visser, Marien van Nieukerken and many others.

The duo is currently preparing their following programme: Frauenliebe und - Leben by R. Schumann and 6 lieder op. 13 by C. Schumann.
